After countless sweaty club shows and a couple well-received EPs, Allout Helter began production on their debut full length, Sinking, We Regress, in the spring of 2012 their studio, “The Helter Shelter”. Releasing on Dang!Records in May of 2013, this long-awaited collection of nine bombastic songs showcases Allout Helter’s finest work to date. With finishing touches applied to the album by Chris Fogal at Black in Bluhm Music, the result is a raw and powerful exploratory criticism of modern society laid over the fast, aggressive melodic-hardcore and technical punk that the band is known for.
Along with this seminal release, Allout Helter is always busy dominating whatever stage they’re on, one audience member at a time, with their intense and engaging live show. With nods from the Westword as one of Denver’s top punk acts, shows within the burgeoning Denver punk scene and alongside lauded and soon-to-be legendary touring acts from all over the country, and slots on festivals like the Underground Music Showcase, Way Out West Fest and the Summergrind Music Festival, Allout Helter continually prove why they are one of the most sought after bands in Denver.
‘Sinking, We Regress’ follows up the out-of-print 2011 ‘An Hour Made for Arson’ EP and the ‘D.I.Y. ‘til Death’ 4-way split 7” w/ label-mates DC Fallout, Perdition and Samuel Caldwell’s Revenge.
Pre-order packages for the CD, with artwork/layout provided by Tyler Gibson at Doom Toof Design, are available via the Dang!Records website while digital pre-orders are available through Allout Helter’s Bandcamp page and will be on sale for only $5 until the release date. All pre-orders receive an immediate download of the first track on the album, “Assume the Imposition”.
