Rex 84 started in early 2011 with Stevie having the concept, name and songs.
He started jamming with the previous members Carl Martin on bass and J.P Marcum on vocals, both currently in “Subdued Animosity” Stevie on guitar and drums they then made Rex 84’s first CD “Declaration of Intent” under Overlook Recordings.
They have re-shuffled the band and currently Chris Perkins has taken over as drummer and Stevie is singing and playing guitar.
Rex 84 has been influences by metal, punk, hardcore punk, solid rock, any and all bad asses that taught them to think and be true to themselves
The Band enjoys jamming out with Purchase Orphan Choir, Shark Week, Teenage Rehab, and of course Coffin Flag!
The like to play venues in Paducah, KY. They have shown them more love than most cities locally.
Rex 84 currently has a few songs on PoDunk Radio regular rotation and our DJ’s are playing them often on their shows. Stevie writes most of the songs as well as being the musical source in the band, the songs tend to deal with alienation, violence, and the dark matters of life. They also have a song on PoDunk Radio Punk Rock Vol.1 Comp the song “States of Fear” is about the way people in power throughout history use fear to control the masses.
Rex 84 is open to any type of tours and currently lining up shows.
